Carlos H. Timaran
Dr. Carlos Timaran graduated from the University of Cauca in Popayan, Colombia in 1991. He completed a residency in general surgery at the National University of Columbia-San Juan de Dios Hospital and also at the University of Tennessee. He completed a fellowship in clinical vascular surgery at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Timaran is the institutional principal investigator and only interventionist in Dallas for the NIH-funded Carotid Revascularization Endarterectomy versus Stenting Trial (CREST). He specializes in the endovascular repair of complex aortic and peripheral arterial problems and is also involved in the development of advanced endovascular therapies for thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections using fenestrated and branched devices. He is certified in Surgery and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
